WestLink has planned three optional activities on June 24th to provide a casual opportunity to meet other delegates in preparation for the conference. A fee is charged for each activity and participation is optional.
Theatre District Walking Tour - $20 plus GST
Take a quick bus ride to Winnipeg's historic Exchange District where your guide will help you to explore unique theatres and their history including Cinematheque, John Hirsch Place, MTC and a full interior stop at Pantages Playhouse. The tour ends with refreshments in Old Market Square followed by a 15-20 minute walk through downtown Winnipeg, back to the hotel.
Departs Inn at the Forks lobby at 2:30pm and returns at approximately 5:00pm.
Haunted Winnipeg (Coach Tour) - $38 plus GST
Find out why Winnipeg was once called "The Wickedest City in the Dominion" as you hear tales of ghosts, paranormal research and eyewitness accounts at documented sites around the city including the Hotel Fort Garry, Vaughan Street Jail, Masonic Temple and the Dr. Hamilton House where seances were arranged for PM McKenzie King among others.
Departs the Inn at the Forks at 3:00pm and returns at approximately 5:00pm
