History

WestLink Innovation Network Ltd. was founded in 1999 to increase the rate that innovations from research institutions are transitioned to the marketplace. Since this time, WestLink has facilitated integrated research and industry connections, accelerating and benefitting Western Canada’s economy.

Today, WestLink has flourished into a dynamic not-for-profit with 33 academic members and 150 company collaborators who embrace the WestLink approach and our industry connections. For over a decade, WestLink has played an integral role in developing Western Canada’s innovation sector with a focus on connection, communication, training and industry outreach.

With the commitment of our members, partners and supporters, WestLink is the leader in developing new processes, programs and business connections for our members and industry. WestLink continues to provide access to programs and services to broaden the scope of technology commercialization in Western Canada.
