Selection Process

WestLink seeks high-quality individuals for this intense two-year program. Preference will be given to candidates who have education and/or comparable skills, knowledge and experience in both business and science. An aptitude for technology business development and an entrepreneurial spirit are also an asset.

• Have an aptitude for technology business development and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Be willing and able to relocate in Western Canada for any or all of the three placements (attempts are made to accommodate interns by placing them in their “home towns” when possible and appropriate)

Successful applicants are asked to attend an interview in front of individuals from Western Canada’s commercialization system. Once the interviews have taken place, the results of the interview are sent to the Selection and Advisory Committee who makes the final decision of who is accepted into the Internship Program.
