The WestLink Connector

Each year, technology professionals gather in a different province in Western Canada for The WestLink Connector, an event catalyzing connections between WestLink members and stakeholders. The WestLink Connector builds on our position as a leader amongst the many organizations and individuals involved in technology commercialization in Canada.

The 2009 WestLink Connector was held in Edmonton in November - the report will be available shortly. 

With the event, WestLink aims to:

• Connect our members, internship program alumni and current interns with a variety of representatives from industry 
• Inform industry of WestLink’s programs and system capacity
• Build new relationships and expand on existing connections
• Bridge the innovation gap in Western Canada
• Promote innovation and technological advancement
  

Events such as The WestLink Connector contribute to a dynamic Canadian innovation system. WestLink understands that building a strong network is essential for any individual involved in the process of technology transfer and hopes to expand on this initiative in the future by increasing the number of events held in different provinces each year.
